Guitar Hero

Ok, so let me explain a little about these pictures. Back in December, as I posted awhile ago, Randy and I went to visit some of our best friends, Ryan and Lindsey Hamilton in DC. Well, Lindsey had already given Ryan one of his Christmas presents, Guitar Hero. This is a game where you have a guitar and you have to play the notes that are on the screen. Needless to say, it's very addicting and we spent a lot of the weekend playing it. Ever since then, all Randy could do was think about getting a Play Station 2 and Guitar Hero. Well, two weeks ago he broke down and bought the Play Station 2 and borrowed his bosses daughters Guitar Hero game. I have not been able to pry him out of the office since!! Of course, I've definitely played my share also!! On Saturday(1/13) We went to dinner with Brandon and Megan (another one of our favorite couples!!!!!). After dinner, we ended up back at the house for a little Guitar Hero fun!!! And of course when Kim came over this past Saturday (1/20), I had to get her addicted too!!!
You can tell by everyone's faces that you really have to concentrate!! You can also tell that I am not coordinated enough to play the guitar like an actual guitar, I have to play it like a piano. Too many years of piano lessons!!!!

The Sink Girls

Last Tuesday (1/16), after work, I went over and spent some time with Cristen and Kathryn. It was great just to hang out with Cristen. Of course, Kathryn was the perfect baby while I was there and slept almost the whole time. I finally got to hold her and she didn't cry!! I was so excited!!! I think I'm a little bias, but she is just the cutest thing ever!!!! And I'm so glad she has dark hair...it definitely makes her one of the Sink girls!!!!!

It's been quite awhile since I've updated my blog, so this one might be a little long!!Christmas was amazing...and busy! The Friday before Christmas, Randy and I drove to Forest to have dinner with our friends Katie and Donald...and it was fabulous to get to spend some time with them before the holiday. On Christmas Eve, we got to spend time with both sides of our family and Christmas day we got to see everyone, even though we were running around!! We had Katie and Donald back down for New Years and we all just hung out around the house and cooked dinner and of course had some chocolate from the Chocolate fountain!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2007 has been great so far! This morning at 1:12 am, my niece Kathryn Elizabeth Sink was born weighing 7.41 pounds!!! Cristen did a great job and looked amazing!! And Johnny was so calming...he made me feel better!!! I'm so excited for them and so blessed that I now have a niece!!! Thank you Johnny and Cristen!!!! I can't wait to see her grow up!!! Today is also my best friend Kim's 23 birthday!! Happy birthday sissy! Tomorrow is my other best friend Katie's 24 birthday!!! So It's been a great couple of days!! Below are some pictures of Kim and I, New Year's with Katie and Donald, Christmas, and of course last but certainly not least, my beautiful Kathryn Elizabeth Sink!!!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

It's less than one week now until Christmas and I'm so excited! This past week has been a little tiring and I'm looking forward to having a couple days off of work, even if they are spent running around. Last weekend Randy and I went to Dickens of A Christmas downtown with Megan and Brandon! It was really crowded! We managed to get some kettle corn and to see the live nativity, but sadly for Megan and I, we didn't get to ride in the horse drawn carriages. The wait was toooo long according to the boys. Saturday I went shopping with my mom in Lynchburg and then Randy and I went to Megan's graduation party...CONGRATULATIONS... and then to a party that one of the lawyers I work with was having. We were definitely partied out! Sunday we had the annual Sink Family Christmas Dinner and it was a great time!! I can't wait until next year when Baby Sink can join us!!! Randy and I babysat for some friends Sunday night. My brother and sister came over to help so we had 4 adults (if you can call us that) for 2 twins!!! But it was a good time!!

One of my best friends (and also a bridesmaid from my wedding) Ashley got engaged on Saturday night! I'm soooo excited for her and Doug!! And I can't wait to help her plan her wedding...and of course to be a bridesmaid!! :) They are planning on getting married on October 20th of next year...what a great month to choose!;)

Tonight I have my department ornament exchange! I'm very excited...and then my brother and Carrie are going to stop by for a visit!! I'm very excited to see her!!!!! :)

In case I don't post before the holidays, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!! Enjoy the blessings!!!

FUN!

So, this past weekend Randy and I went to DC to hang out with Ryan and Lindsey Hamilton! It was SOOO much fun. Friday Ryan, Randy and I braved the EXTREME cold and ventured around downtown DC. Randy and I were finally able to get a picture where he proposed to me...almost two years ago!! Funny that it took us this long, but every other time we've gone to DC, it's been raining! Lindsey met us downtown and we went to some museums and then went to the Capitol City Brewery for dinner. Very yummy. The rest of the evening was spent watching movies and of course, playing our new found favorite game...GUITAR HERO!!!!!!!! Saturday was definitely a lazy day, but I think we all needed it and enjoyed it. After being bums all morning, Lindsey and I went to Tyson's Corner to do some shopping while the boys went to the NRA shooting range. We came back and just played MORE GUITAR HERO and had dinner and watched more movies. Sadly, on Sunday Randy and I had to return to the Noke. It was good to be back at our house, but I hated having to leave our friends!! It was such a good time and it just reminded me how special close friends are. I LOVE YOU HAMILTONS!

When we got home on Sunday, I had to turn around and get ready to leave to go to the Carrie Underwood concert here in Roanoke. The Shanks (my other family and my best friends parents) took me out to dinner with them and then on to the concert. Kim and I had such a good time singing along to umm almost every single song!! :) And of course we had fun making fun of the TONS of people who took Care Bears and sweatshirts up to the stage to give to Carrie.

I have to say Happy Birthday(yesterday) to Ashton my cute flower girl and also Happy Birthday (today) to Aubreanna my flower girls little sister!!!! I hope you all had great birthdays!!!

This week has gone by pretty quickly so far. I've spent some amount of time on my thesis and will only spend more time as the week goes on. Hopefully I can get it turned in for another edit tomorrow. WHEW!

Family, Family Everywhere

So this weekend was not as busy as usual, but still kind of packed. Friday night Kim and I were very crafty and made Christmas ornaments and attempted to make sugar cookies. Lucky for us, the ornaments turned out much better than the cookies. :) Randy, Devon and Fey did...boy things in the garage. I didn't venture out there...I decided to let boys be boys. Saturday was really fun. My 2nd and 3rd cousins on my mom's side of the family came in from Arizona to visit. It was so fun catching up and teaching them how to play Dutch Blitz!! It seems now that my family is possibly planning a trip to Arizona!! Sunday afternoon was devoted to my thesis...ughh!! I will be so glad to finally be done with all this research and data entry and whatnot! At the beginning of my thesis, I was really excited and couldn't wait to get results in and see if my predictions were correct. Now I just want to be done, I don't care as much about the results, I just want a 35-40 page paper to turn in and a diploma!!!!

On the bright side, I'm really excited for this weekend. Randy and I are going to take a trip to DC to visit Ryan and Lindsey Hamilton!! We are leaving right after work on Thursday and staying until Sunday!! We haven't seen them since our wedding and everytime we get together it's really fun! I think we are going to attempt a visit to the ESPN Zone again!!!!! I'm really just looking forward to come quality time with some of our best friends!!! YAY!!!
