Locks For Love

So I decided to donate 10 inches of my hair to a charity called Locks for Love. They take your donated hair and make a wig for a child who is suffering from cancer and needs a wig. Seeing as how my hair had gotten quite long, I decided it was time for something new. This is my hair before from the back.
My beautiful long hair from the front. BYE HAIR. I was starting to get really nervous as we walked into the salon. I had knots in my stomach. I think I was more nervous about getting my hair cut then I was about getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cute new short hair style!!!!! I love it and Angela did a great job! She had a really hard time cutting the ponytail off because my hair was so thick!! She said I had beautiful thick hair and that it was the healthiest hair she had ever seen! :) Impressive I know! : )

BYE BYE Hair!!! And so I start the growing process again! Hopefully by this time next year, I'll be able to donate another 10 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Graduation Party!!

After graduation, Randy and I had some family and friends over to the house for a Graduation Celebration/Come See Our New House Party!! It was such a great time hanging out with everyone! Thank you everyone for coming (and for the gifts which were not necessary, but greatly appreciated!!!)!!!!

On Sunday, I graduated from Hollins University with my Masters of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Social Sciences and Psychology! Yeah, it's a mouthful! So I just say it's a Masters and leave it at that!It was a perfect day for an outdoor graduation and I was lucky enough to get to graduate with one of my friends, Bridgett!!!

Happy 6 Month Birthday Tiki!!

Today is Tiki's 6 month birthday! We didn't really celebrate, but I admit, I did sing Happy Birthday to him earlier!!!

Kathryn's Dedication

This past Sunday, Randy and I joined the Sink/Crabtree clan for Kathryn's Dedication at New Century (Johnny and Cristen's church). It was really great to spend that time with the family, especially since it was Mother's Day and it was also great to see Johnny and Cristen stand before the church to dedicate their daughter! Kathryn also received her very first "Tiny Testament"!

Happy first Mother's Day, Cristen! I'm sure it was a great one! Even though you aren't my mother, you are a great example of a mother to me!

Tiki had to go to the vet last week. Everytime they take him in the back to do anything, he ends up with a bandana. This time the bandana had little froggies on it! We already call Tiki a "Frog Dog" because he lays with his back legs stretched out!!! It was a perfect bandana for him!

A day full of Birthdays!!

Today is my best friend Ashley's birthday!! She is turning 24!! We have been best friends since we were 5 years old and have had great memories together!! I really miss her since she lives in Virginia Beach!! I love you Ash! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Elaina (on the right) celebrates her birthday today!! She was a guestbook attendant at my wedding! Randy and I love to hang out with her and her sisters!! Their family is very special to us! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is also Crystal's birthday! Crystal is one of my closest friends and we've know each other for quite a few years now, I think since high school! Crystal got married in July of last year to Paul and Randy and I really enjoy having local married friends to hang out with! We always have a great time with them! Crystal and I had so much fun planning our weddings together and we used a lot of the same people for our weddings (florist, photographer, cake lady...)! I love you sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!


Today is a GREAT day! There are 3 very special birthdays that fall on today, May 8th!

Saturday was my brother's college graduation from Radford University. It was a chilly, misty day for a graduation and he was less than thrilled that my parents wanted him to walk. However, much to his dismay, he was up early and processed with the rest of the graduates. Kim went with us and we had a great time! Congratulations Bubby, we are so proud of you!! Welcome to the real world!! :)
