TA-DA...The Big Room

THE BIG ROOM IS DONE!!! I think I can speak for both Randy and I when I say this weekend has been exhausting! We've spent the last 2.5 days packing up stuff in our house and putting it in my parents basement for storage as well as finishing up some projects. We're ALMOST done! The big room is finally done! The gas logs have been installed and we've decorated! I'm so pleased with the outcome and I hate to move!! Below are some pictures! There is also a random picture of the hallway thrown in...we've repainted that also!

Our goal is to have the house ready to go on the market by the end of this week! We'll take pictures of the entire house when we do that! Please pray that we'll sell quickly! Also pray for strength...Randy and I are getting pretty exhausted between work and the house and we really just need to finish things up!

Thanks to Randy's dad for ALL his help in the big room...and to Dale also with helping install the gas logs! Once again my husband has amazed me with his handiness around the house! :)

St. Patrick's Day

Luke and Randy celebrated St. Patty's Day together while I was at the shower. Then we hung out for the rest of the night before Luke had to leave for Iowa!!

On March 15, 2008, I was able to help celebrate the upcoming birth of Peyton Creasy!! Heather and James received SOOO many nice things and I have no idea where they will put them all! I'm so excited for Heather and James...I know they are going to be amazing parents and I can't wait to meet their baby girl!!! I love you guys!! Congratulations!

Diaper Cake

A girl at work just had a baby boy. For her shower, another girl and I decided to attempt a diaper cake! It turned out really well and I'm so glad! I can't wait for the next shower and a chance to make another one!

A Really Cool Thing...

Last night, after all the Easter festivities were complete, Randy and I headed to Starbucks for some coffee with Brandon, Megan and Daniel. Daniel is in the states for some training and was able to come home for the weekend. I think it's been way over a year since the guys had been reunited, so it was great to be able to have coffee and catch up! I love seeing Randy with his friends, especially the band guys. It's so great to see how close they still are and listen to them talk about all the "old" days (as the girls listen to stories they've heard at least 10 times).

Anyway, we went to Starbucks, and were in line ordering. Randy ordered our drinks first and while I was waiting for mine, I heard some guy ask if he was Randy Sink. Turns out, it was a guy that was in Ryan's youth group at North Roanoke. He was a big Reconciled fan!!!! Of course that made me really excited so I told Brandon and he and Daniel went to talk to the guy.

I just always think it's really neat to run into someone who loves the band as much as I do! I think that the guys really love it too, while they are no where close to being Rock Stars :), it's nice for someone to appreciate their hard work and creativity.

I just thought it was neat and wanted to post about it! :)

The New and Improved Downstairs Bedroom

So I meant to do my update of posts last night, but a migraine interferred, so I'll try to get to that tonight! But I promised some pictures of the downstairs bedroom remodel...so here they are! We don't have any pictures of before, probably b/c I thought it was awful and didn't want any record of it! But, for those of you who never saw it, the walls were very dark wood paneling and the vents were a dingy off white. There were broken brown tiles on the floor that moved when you walked!

I absolutely LOVE the new look! It's cozy and I kinda want to stay down there! Just to see how it is! Maybe one night! Those of you who stayed previously in all the yuckiness...please feel free to come back and try the new look! :) Of course, you'll have to do it soon! We're hoping to be on the market in a few weeks...and with this room looking so good...how could someone NOT snatch the house up quickly! :)

Thanks to Randy's mom for helping us paint, Randy's Dad for helping with the baseboard and my mom and dad for helping arrange the furniture! A HUGE thanks to my husband who put up with my nagging to get this room done! :) I love you!

What we've been up too

I apologize for the lack of updates....we've been kinda busy fixing up our house and getting ready to put it on the market! I know I promised pictures, but we want to wait and do before and afters when it is completely done!

We were able to spend some time with my side of the family a couple of weekends ago...and Andrea and Julia-Rose came to visit on Friday!


This has become one of my favorite pictures. Yoo Hoo (my granddaddy) absolutely loves his great granddaughter! And on this particular night, she was smiling and giggling at him! It was precious!

JR had a little sugar from her daddy!! I really like this picture too!


We also celebrated my dad's birthday!!

And what would a post be without a smile from my bubby! He's leaving in a week and I can't believe it!

New Years....yeah it's really late

So, I know I never posted about New Year's! I finally got the disposable camera developed! We went up to visit my best friend Katie and her husband Donald! We had a great time and here are a few pictures!
