It's all about little girls!

Yes, my weekend was very much about little girls. Saturday, I went to see my lifelong friend Jamie and her brand new little bundle of joy, Emily. I have to say, she is definitely one of the prettiest babies I've ever seen! She was so well behaved too! She didn't cry one bit while I was there. I'm so glad I got to see her, and Jamie too! It was great catching up with Jamie and getting to see her family! After visiting with Jamie, I went to a birthday party for two of my favorite little girls, Ashton, who will be turning 3 and Aubreanna, who will be turning 1 in December. Their mother Amanda and I have been friends since we were little and they currently live in Maryland. While they were in for Thanksgiving, Amanda decided to celebrate their birthdays with family and friends. It was great! "It's mine!" exclaimed Ashton when being questioned on what she got! Of course, Aubreanna could have cared less about the presents and just wanted to run around the room! I can't believe how big they are getting!
Yesterday I went to my sister-in-law Cristen's second baby shower!! It was so much fun and once again she received so much cute, pink, girly stuff!!! I sure hope the baby doesn't surprise everyone and turn out to be a boy!! I guess he'll be cute in pink too, I mean it is the in thing now!
Randy and I managed to get a little Christmas decorating done this weekend as well. We are getting our tree next weekend and I can't wait to put all of the ornaments on! I also wrapped the majority of the Christmas presents we have already bought!! YAY!!! It's better to do it while I have the time because the next few weeks will be crazy, I know!!!

Thankfulness

So, since it's now the Friday after Thanksgiving and while most people are off work, I'm sitting at my desk and I thought I would blog a bit! There are many things I am thankful for this year and I thought I would share a few of those:

1. I'm thankful for my amazing husband who never ceases to amaze me. I absolutely love being married!!

2. I am thankful for all of our amazing friends and family. Not only did I have an amazing trip to North Carolina with all the women on my mom's side of the family on Wednesday (where way to much money was spent!!), but we had two amazing Thanksgiving dinners with both sides of our family! My side of the family always offers a bit more craziness than Randy's, but his side did provide some laughter!!

3. Yet another thing I am thankful for is that Randy and I no longer work at the mall. This is the first year in 5 years where we have not had to get up at a horrible hour to be at the mall. Sure we have to work from 8-5, but it is so much better than 5-4 with all you crazy early bird mall shoppers!!! YAY for being done with retail.

So, even though Thanksgiving is over, the busy holiday season is just beginning! This weekend will prove to be very exciting as I attempt to do a little holiday decorating as well as attend a birthday party for two of my favorite little girls and a baby shower for my favorite sister-in-law! Hopefully I'll get the picture loader on this thing figured out this weekend and can provide some pictures of the holiday and weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!

What is a blog!?

So, between facebook, myspace and blogs, I'm not sure which form of communiation is better to use. Not everyone can use facebook and not everyone likes the myspace thing, so I guess blogs might just win out. After my new sister-in-law sent me the link to her blog, I began thinking that it might be nice for Randy and I to have one. Sure, most of our friends are still in the area, but soon, they will be spreading out and I think this will be a great way for them to keep tabs on us!

So...about us. We have been married now for about a month and a half and loving every minute of it. I am so blessed to have found my soul mate so early in life. I'm also so blessed that I have an amazing new family and will soon have an amazing new neice!!! We are settling into our house and of course, Randy is ready to use some of his tools to fix the place up!

This past weekend was a busy one for us. Randy went to the UVA v. Miami game with the guys and KK, while the girls went to Cristen's baby shower in Harrisonburg! After the shower, I drove to Charlottesville to pick up Randy and have dinner with our close friends Katie and Donald!! It was great catching up and spending sometime with some of my favorite people!!!!
