Babysitting

A little over a week ago, Randy and I babysat for our niece, Kathryn, so that Johnny and Cristen could have a date night!!! Randy of course, refused to change any diapers and wants Kathryn to grow up quickly so that he can play with her! Apparently right now she isn't offering him enough interaction!! I'm so glad we got to spend some time with our niece and give her parents a little time off!!! :)

Our First Snow

So, this is our house during the first snow, not ice, of this winter!! I made Randy go outside and snap a picture!!! I do love the snow, but I hate the cold!!!

My Birthday Weekend

I had an amazing birthday weekend! Friday night Randy and I got to go out to dinner with Johnny and Cristen and Kathryn! It was her first night out and she did wonderful!!! Saturday I went to the Sugarland/Little Big Town concert with my mom and dad!!! It was an AMAZING concert and a perfect birthday present!! Sunday I spent the afternoon with Randy's family and then the night with my family! I also got to see my cute niece and my Kimi and Matt!! Monday night I went to Forest to meet with one of my best friends Katie!! I absolutely LOVE birthdays!!!

UVA v. DUKE

On Thursday, Randy, my mom, brother and I went to Charlottesville for the UVA v. Duke Mens Basketball game. My parents have been Duke fans longer than I have been alive. When I was in the 6th grade, I would walk around the track during PE talking about how I was going to Duke for college. Then, the summer before my senior year of high school, I actually did get to go to Duke for a summer term and take 2 classes. I absolutely loved my time there, the friends I met, and of course getting to meet Chris Duhon! Randy has been a UVA fan for all of his life. Usually this doesn't lead to too many confrontations, since Duke's football team is horrible and I root for UVA. Randy insisted that I wear a UVA sweatshirt to the game...but sneaky me...I wore my DUKE shirt underneath!!! It was a great game and really really close!! UVA won by 2 in overtime!! Overall, it was so great to hang out with my mom and brother and of course...Randy!!!

Early Birthday Dinner

Tonight, I got to celebrate my birthday a few days early! Randy and I went to dinner with Emily and Matt, two of my old managers from Aeropostale. Even though I don't have a ton of fond memories from working at the mall for 5 years, I have some very close friends. Of course, that's also how I met Randy. Emily, over the past 4 years, has become like a second mother to me. Even though she's only a few years older, she has much more life experience and can provide me with so much sound advice.

Thank you Mama E for everything. Matt is also one of my close friends. He has also been a sounding board for my many days of insanity while working two jobs, planning a wedding and working on my masters degree. They are so much fun to hang out with and I'm so glad we were able to celebrate my birthday!!! I love you both so much!!!

We had dinner at Carrabas. It was very yummy...I recommend it!! : )

Randy's Work Party

So, Saturday night, we went to Randy's bosses house for a little gathering of the bankers...and of course to play air hockey, pool, fuse ball, darts, wii and all the other games that the Partes have. Plus it gave us the great opportunity to hang out with the future Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell, Brandon and Kara. While the four of us were in the basement, we discovered a pole. This was apparently purchased for Pat's daughter to use at a Halloween party. Regardless, Brandon and Randy decided to try to set it up! You can see that Randy decided to spin around the pole and ended up falling!! It was pretty funny!!!

This is Kara's GORGEOUS ring!!!! Brandon and Kara got engaged on Friday night (1/27/07) and are planning on getting married on December 8!!! We are TOTALLY there!! Congratulations guys...we are truly happy for you!!! P.S....come live near us!!!!!!

Family

This past Friday, Randy and I took my grandparents and parents dinner. This was a special time for us. My grandmother has a very advanced cancer and we are unsure of how much time she has left. We've always been a very close family. I used to stop by their house at least once a week. Since we got married, my visits to my grandparents have been few and far between. It's not as easy to run by there on my way home anymore, since it isn't on my way home anymore. I'm really glad Randy and I took the time to visit with them and my parents...and of course...Pumpkin!!
