Not Me Monday

Ok, so since everyone else is doing it...and I'm a sucker for peer pressure....

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did NOT go visit work and change my baby on the floor in one of my friends cube's. And even if I did this, there were certainly NOT a group of people standing around watching. And if I did, I certainly didn't just take my time and allow my baby to lay there naked for a minute. That would just be crazy.

I did NOT let my baby scream in a restaurant while we were at dinner with our "friend family" in hopes of getting our waiter to bring us the check faster.

I did NOT go visit my old employer and have to do a double take AND look at the badge of a person who was complementing me on Aubrey and asking what I had been up too. And even if I had to do that, it still wouldn't have taken me a few minutes to place who the person was, especially since I worked at Advance for 5 years.

I did NOT let the security guards call my baby, who was dressed in pink with a pink bow, a boy and not correct them, because I didn't have the energy to say, "She's a girl." That's insane.

Mother's Day and Jackson's Dedication

I had a great first Mother's Day! We spent the day with family. We went to church at New Century to see Johnny and Cristen dedicate Jackson. It was such a special time and so great to be there with everyone. Afterwards, we went to a cookout at Johnny and Cristen's! Then we went down to visit with my parents for awhile. Yoo-Hoo stopped by to see Little A! I'm so excited that I'm a mom this year! I hope everyone enjoyed their day!

5 Weeks Old

Yesterday, May 11, Aubrey turned 5 weeks old! She had a very busy fifth week! We visited both sets of Grandparents, went to Tanglewood and went to Uncle Johnny and Aunt Cristen's for dinner.

4 Weeks Old

On Monday, May 4, Aubrey turned 4 weeks old and on Wednesday, May 6, she turned a month old! I can't believe it's been a month already! It's been a great month! Here are a few pictures from Aub's 4th week of life!

And her stats from her 1 month check up:
*height - 22.5 inches (87th percentile)
*head - 15.1 inches (74th percentile)
*weight - 11lbs 15oz (96th percentile)

Dr. Gard was impressed with how well she holds her head up and also with her weight gain!:)

Sleepy girl! Notice the mittens on her hands...Aubrey will wake herself up because she is pulling her hair out! So we've had to resort to putting mitts on her. Of course her sweaty hands get kinda gross, but it's better than her waking up screaming!

Addy Grace

I've blogged before about our close friends James and Jennifer Garner, and their little girl Addison Grace. Addy and Aubrey are about 4 months apart and Jennifer and I had fun being pregnant with little girls together! We've also planned all sorts of fun play dates for our little ones, as they are sure to be best friends.

This past week, James and Jen got some upsetting news about Addy Grace. She has been diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). This is a pretty scary disease.

I don't know how many people, other than our families, read our blog, but I'd like to ask anyone who stops by to please add Addy and her family to your prayers! Please pray specifically for healing for Addy and strength for the family. James and Jen are young parents and this is a lot for them to deal with. Thanks!

3 Weeks Old

Aubrey is actually 4 weeks old today, but we haven't taken that picture yet and I know the masses are anxious for some pictures of our girl!!! So here's what Aubrey was up to during her 3rd week of life!

Aubrey had her first bottle. We only put an ounce in it, but boy was she excited!! She sucked it down in record time! Needless to say, we aren't worried about her adjusting to a bottle when I have to go back to work!

This is before we left for Aubrey's friend Peyton's First Birthday Party! Of course, Aubrey slept the whole time, but boy did she look cute doing it! She did have a bow in...a pink one...I'm not sure what happened to it!
