Christmas decorations and the Big Room

So, here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations. Our tree and our stockings! (With a little Tiki!)

Randy started working on our Big Room while I was in California. This room is one of the main reasons we bought our house! He's done a lot of work (with a lot of help from our family members...THANKS!)! Here is what it looks like as of right now...we still need a couple more coats of paint, some beat board and we'll be good to go!!

It's been awhile......

I know it's been awhile since my last post, but I've been getting adjusted to being back in Roanoke! Since being back, we've been super busy. We had dinner and game night with Megan and Brandon, went to dinner with Kara and Brandon, went to the UVA vs. Tech game, started Christmas shopping, decorated for Christmas, I had dinner with my friend Katie in Harrisonburg and much more! Below are some pictures from our Thanksgiving!

Tonight is Tuesday and in only 3 short days, I'll be home. While I'm excited about going home and definitely ready to not live in a hotel room, this trip has been a great learning experience. Not only have I been able to get some training for my new job, I've met some great people who have really helped me enjoy and make the most of this trip. I don't know if I'll ever be able to return to California, so I'm really glad I was able to cram in so many fun things. All in all, I enjoyed my time as a West Coast girl!! Below are a few posts from this past weekend! Enjoy...and see most of you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Golden Gate

Sunday was spent in San Francisco! After shopping in China Town in the morning, seeing the Sea Lions at Pier 39 and having fresh seafood from the bay, we went on an hour long boat tour of the bay. There were tons of sailboats out and the weather was perfect and the sky was soo clear! We saw the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge and Alcatraz. Below are only a few of the pictures I took (if you know me, you know there are a million more!)! We had such a busy weekend and saw so many different parts of California. This weekend definitely made the three week training worth it!

Sea Lions

On Pier 39 in San Francisco, there are TONS of Sea Lions! This has to be one of my absolute favorite things about the trip! I could have stayed at the pier all day watching them! Here are just a few of the many pictures I took! I also took some video that I will post, with the help of Randy when I get home.

China Town

I've been to China Town twice now! Friday night we had to walk through China Town on our way to The Steps of Rome and on the way back to the BART. It was really neat seeing the area lit up at night! Sunni and I went back to San Francisco on Sunday and did some shopping in China Town! I really like the area, except for the store that sells live birds and you can hear peoples bags clucking!!! YIKES

Viansa

On Saturday, a group of us drove up to Sonoma Valley and went to the little Italian winery called Viansa. It wasn't a bad drive at all and it was totally worth the trip! This little winery makes traditional Italian wine and it had amazing views. We went on the tour or the winery, got to taste some of their wines and we also had pizza from a brick oven out on the patio. Below are a few of the pictures that I took.
